1. Acceptance of these terms
By signing in, registering or joining a school, submitting school information, or otherwise using School Summary Book System ("SSB", "the app", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Authorised users and eligibility
SSB is intended for authorised adult school personnel and system administrators. Access is role-based and may include Principals, Teachers, and other approved school users. You must use the service only for a school for which you have legitimate authority or approved access.
You must not impersonate another person, join a school without permission, or attempt to obtain access to another school’s records.
3. Account access and security
SSB uses approved Google sign-in and related authentication services. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account, device, and active session. Do not share passwords, OTPs, authentication tokens, or other credentials.
You must promptly report suspected unauthorised access or misuse to the school administrator or SSB support. We may require additional verification before approving school access, sensitive changes, or deletion requests.
4. School data and user responsibilities
Users are responsible for entering and reviewing information accurately and only within the authority granted by their school role. This includes school profile information, class setup, teacher assignments, registered-student totals, attendance totals, MDM or breakfast data, holidays or vacations, approvals, and report-related information.
The school and its authorised users remain responsible for verifying operational records before relying on them for official school purposes. Users must follow applicable school, department, and government procedures when entering, approving, exporting, sharing, or retaining records.
5. Permitted and prohibited use
You may use SSB only for lawful school administration and related authorised activities. You must not:
- access, alter, export, or disclose records without permission;
- submit knowingly false, misleading, or manipulated school information;
- attempt to bypass role permissions, authentication, security controls, usage limits, or audit mechanisms;
- probe, attack, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- upload malicious code or use the service to harm another person, school, system, or network; or
- use SSB in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
6. Attendance, reports and operational records
SSB helps authorised users enter, review, approve, lock, unlock, generate, display, and retain school operational records. System validations and workflow controls assist users but do not replace required human review.
Generated reports reflect the information available to the system at the time of generation. If a record is incomplete, incorrect, pending, or later changed through an authorised workflow, users should follow the approved school process for correction or regeneration.
7. Third-party services
SSB may rely on third-party platforms or services for functions such as authentication, hosting, database processing, report generation or storage, messaging actions, advertising, and app distribution. Use of those external services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
Links or actions that open Google, WhatsApp, telephone, Google Play, or other external services are provided for convenience. SSB does not control the availability or independent practices of those services.
8. Availability, maintenance and updates
We may modify, maintain, suspend, or update parts of SSB to improve security, reliability, compatibility, or functionality. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, network conditions, third-party service issues, or events outside reasonable control.
New app versions may be released from time to time. Certain updates may be required to continue using the service when needed for security, compatibility, or supported functionality.
9. Privacy and data deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, protected, shared, and retained. A signed-in user can submit an account deletion request from the app’s Profile section. Users who cannot access the app can follow the process on the Delete Account page.
10. Intellectual property
SSB software, website design, branding, text, graphics, and other original service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless stated otherwise. These terms give authorised users a limited right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of SSB or its underlying software.
School-owned records and information remain subject to the school’s applicable rights and responsibilities.
11. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated when an account is unauthorised, inactive, deleted, associated with a school that no longer has approved access, used in violation of these terms, or presents a security or integrity risk.
Role changes, teacher reassignment, school transfer, or school-level administrative action may also change or remove access. Where appropriate, official school records may be retained even after an individual user’s access ends.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
SSB is provided to support school administration. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain a secure and reliable service, the service is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every error, network failure, third-party outage, or user-entry mistake can be prevented.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SSB and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising solely from service interruption, third-party failure, unauthorised user conduct, or inaccurate information entered by users. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, legal requirements, security practices, or platform features change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in India, subject to any mandatory rights or rules that apply to the user or school. Any dispute should first be raised with SSB support so that a reasonable resolution can be attempted.
